Yes! You can have your parcels delivered to any of our store’s addresses and we will contact you when they arrive.

Our units range from 10sq ft to 75 sq ft with all sizes in between.  If you need more space you can rent as many units as you like. We will be able to advise you of the best way to store your goods when you contact us.

There is no maximum period for renting a storage unit. The minimum rental period is one month and you can rent for as long as you like.

With certain exceptions, you can store anything which is legal, as long as it is not perishable or inflammable. We reserve the right to refuse any type of storage if we see fit to do so.

You will need to provide a padlock for your storage room.  These are available to purchase in store.

We always have at least one employee on-site, but if you want to make an appointment to discuss your storage requirements please call in advance to the office of your desired location We can also help you determine the size of your storage and answer any related questions you may have. Once the rental agreement is signed you can start using your storage immediately.

Yes, if you want a particular unit, it is a good idea to reserve it in advance. This will guarantee your unit is available when you want to use it. To reserve a unit, click on the Book Online button at your preferred location.

Our storage space is well-ventilated and temperature controlled to prevent damp and subsequent damage to furniture, clothes and household goods. You can rent a unit for a long as you like, safe in the knowledge that your property will remain in the same condition it arrived in.

Very safe. Our storage warehouse is secure and fitted with surveillance cameras on the inside and outside. We also have sensors, top of the range alarm systems inside and out and direct links with the police and fire brigade.

For your own benefit and protection, you’ll need to ensure the items in your storage room are well protected by insurance.

Although we make sure all our stores are fully insured for such things as natural disasters, you’ll need to get insurance cover for your stored items against loss or damage that might occur, despite us taking good care of the facilities where your goods are stored.

OUR RENTAL PRICES INCLUDE A BASIC INSURANCE COVER OF £500 FOR YOUR ITEMS.  However, we understand that the value of your items may exceed this free insurance cover.   Every customer stores items of different value and so will need different levels of protections.

uStore-it insurance protects you in case your goods are damaged or lost during storage despite our good care, amongst other consequent to the following perils:

• force of nature e.g. storm, flooding, fire
• a third party e.g. when a driver hits the building
• burglary in your storage unit or location after break-in

In the unlikely event your storage unit is affected by one of these risks, you can search for compensation provided that you were allowed to store these goods at uStore-it and taking into account the level of cover you chose, and the replacement value of your goods.

The actual cost of your additional insurance will depend on the level of additional cover that you require.  Remember you get £500 cover free from uStore-it.

• For an extra £4 a month, you are protected for an additional £500 cover, which makes a maximum £1,000 of insurance cover.
• For an extra £12 a month, you are protected for an additional £2,000 cover, which makes a maximum £2,500 of insurance cover.
• For an extra £28 a month, you are protected for an additional £5000 cover, which makes a maximum £5,500 of insurance cover.

Prices include VAT.

You can opt for additional insurance cover as an extension to your self-storage agreement either when you initially rent your storage room, or at a later point during the rental period.

Alternatively, you can contact your own insurer and ask for a quote. Conditions vary per insurance company, so make sure you ask your insurer for more details.

You can arrange a standing order, or give us authorisation to do this on your behalf. We also accept credit and debit cards. You will be sent an invoice monthly.

A minimum of 14 days advance notice is required. The rental agreement will include the exact conditions.
